Main description
We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate to join our team here at BBE Music. The successful candidate will demonstrate a creative mindset and willingness to learn from the team. The role will involve supporting the following strands of the business:
- Record label – Marketing and Admin
- Record store and Events
You will be expected to support our ‘In-store’ events which preview our special guests DJ’s and or album launches. These events are attended by high profile figures in the music and entertainment industry and afford a fantastic networking opportunity.
These events also generate much of our creative content which is then used to acquire and maintain social media followers. You will also be involved in the crucial mechanics of running a record label specifically dealing in vinyl releases. This could include:
- Managing inventory
- Data entry and basic bookkeeping
- Posting and Packaging –
- Customer service
- General day-to-day tasks
The Role
The ideal candidate will demonstrate their love for music and entertainment with a strong desire to learn the business. This role will suit someone who is organised, motivated, passionate about social media / content creation, and familiar with using primary media channels: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Tik-Tok. You will also need to have a strong admin skill-set as this role balances the vital work that takes place behind the scenes.
They will be familiar with the following software / apps to successfully execute your role:
- Adobe Creative Suite
- Canva
- ChatGPT / Bard, or any other AI software
- We welcome anyone with creative flair who is able to demonstrate a skill-set across other mediums or software programmes.
Our apprentice will be responsible for, but not limited to the following task list. As such this list should be used as a guide and not exhaustive:
Tasks:
- Capture, edit and produce various types of content including – video / photography / graphics and copy
- Preparing assets
- Utilising Hootsuite to manage and schedule content
- Creating promotional content to showcase our events
- Communicate with different stakeholders to get sign-off on content, or copy before scheduling / posting
- Admin support and basic data-entry utilising xero accounting software (experience ideal, but you’ll be trained)
- Working alongside stock management team to deal with customer order and queries
- Light-touch event support including logistics and customer service
About the course – Level 3 Content Creator
This course explores video production and editing, design, photography, post-production, broadcast and more. Learners are equipped with key skills, knowledge and behaviours to develop expertise and excel in their job role.
Apprentices are trained with the use of Adobe Creative Cloud suite including; Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop.
BCE’s unique training model offers our Content Creator apprentices the following:
- Monthly tutorials / industry masterclasses
- Online learning platform
- Video 1-1 tutorials
- Access to specialist guest speakers
- Support from an industry specialist assessor
Delivery sessions will include an in-person workshop format, webinar and remote learning options.
Candidate Profile:
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Ability to communicate well with a variety of different stakeholders, including high profile individuals
- Be presentable
- Motivated and ready to learn everything this role has to offer
Skill Required:
- A keen interest in Social Media and Content production
- Proficiency in Adobe Suite/ and or other photo/ video editing software
- Creative flair and have fresh ideas to bring to the table
- Strong administrations skill-set
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
- Organisational skills
- Be familiar with the key social media channels – Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok
- Film and edit sticky short-form video content for Instagram/ TikTok/Youtube
- Close attention to detail
Training to be Provided:
- In-house mentoring
- Level 3 Content Creator

The apprenticeship programme and employment are inclusive of each other. You will need to demonstrate excellent levels of commitment to both the training and job role.
You will work at BBE Music 80% of the time, and study in further education 20% of the time.
Qualifications Required:
We will review all future progress based on successful completion of the apprenticeship.
