Contract: Fixed Term (3 months)
Hours: 40 Hours per week / Shifts ranging between 6am and 11pm
Days: 5 days a week on a rota, weekend work involved

The Role
We are looking for a talented Battery Swapping Operator to join us to support our exciting bike and e-scooter scheme in Norwich. You will become a key component of the team by helping to deliver Beryl’s bikeshare and e-scooter scheme in coordination with Norfolk County Council.
As a Battery Swap Operator, you will need to be conscientious, flexible and have a can-do attitude. Most importantly, you will be making yourself invaluable to the scheme and the wider community. You will have a wonderful opportunity to work within one of the country’s most exciting micromobility providers, and maintain an integral role in our Operations team. You will be working with our battery charging teams, ensuring a smooth operation, whilst helping to keep our vehicles charged and available to the public. You will need to be comfortable driving a van to get around town.
Responsibilities
- Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Swap batteries of our electronic fleet of vehicles;
- Ride our dedicated pedal vehicles to cover our service areas, ensuring that our bays are tidy and accessible to the public;
- Communicate with the wider Battery Swap Team and internal Control Room staff to ensure Battery Swaps are coordinated efficiently;
- Ensure the correct safety procedures are followed at all times;
- Helping with ad-hoc tasks as per business need.
We need someone who:
- Is conscientious and motivated to work autonomously;
- Punctual with good time management skills.
- Able to adapt to new procedures - is a keen and quick learner.
- Has a full & clean driving licence
- Interest in biking/cycling is preferred but not essential.
- Able to work well under pressure.

Successful candidates will be subject to a 1 stage interview process arranged with an established member of the Beryl Bournemouth team. A standardised question and scoring system will be used during the interview process.
