Job description
Our client is looking to recruit people who are committed to providing a professional sales service to public and trade customers through either a detailed understanding and knowledge of bathroom products, or a genuine commitment and dedication to learn quickly and follow the organisations internal training programme.
Main duties and responsibilities include:
- To ensure that customers are approached promptly, in an appropriate and friendly manner.
- To provide expert guidance and support on all ranges of bathroom products and accessories.
- To generate sales to both trade and retail customers at an agreed and acceptable margin using effective negotiation and communication skills.
- To be a self-starter with excellent attention to detail and a strong team spirit the successful applicant will need to be flexible, able to multi-task and have excellent numerical skills.
- To maintain the tidiness of the showroom and storage areas, ensuring they remain free from any potential hazards considering Health and Safety.
Main terms and conditions:
- The vacancies we have are permanent and can be either full-time or part-time.
- Working hours will be discussed at interview and we have a range of options available. All roles need to be worked flexibly and hours and days of work are to be agreed in advance with the Director.
- Some weekend working will be required.
- The rate of pay for this post is national minimum wage.
- There is a contributory pension scheme to which eligible employees will be auto enrolled.
- Appointment will be subject to satisfactory references.
- Appointment is subject to completion of a satisfactory probation period of 6-months.
Required skills and experience:
- You must have experience of working in a business to customer sales environment.
- You must be able to build rapport with people.
- You must have strong maths skills.
- You must have experience of working towards sales targets.
- You must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- A knowledge of Urdu or Punjabi is an advantage but by no means essential.
