Experienced Bartender at The Dubliner Irish Bar, Boston

Position Summary:

The Dubliner Irish Bar in Boston is seeking an experienced bartender with strong hospitality skills and high-volume experience to join our team. As a bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, crafting delicious cocktails, and maintaining a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere for our patrons. Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

Customer Service:

  • Greet customers warmly and provide a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.
  • Engage with customers, build rapport, and provide exceptional service
  • Offer recommendations on drink selections based on customer preferences.
  • Address any customer inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any issues that may arise.

Beverage Preparation:

  • Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Craft cocktails and mixed drinks according to recipes and customer requests.
  • Possess extensive knowledge of drink recipes, ingredients, and presentation techniques.
  • Ensure the quality and consistency of all beverages served.
  • Adhere to responsible alcohol service guidelines and regulations.

Bar Operations:

  • Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including stocking supplies and replenishing inventory.
  • Operate cash registers, handle cash transactions, and process payments accurately.
  • Utilize POS systems to input orders and manage tabs efficiently.
  • Monitor and manage bar inventory, including ordering supplies as needed.
  • Collaborate with other bar staff to ensure smooth operation and teamwork.

High-Volume Environment:

  • Thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume bar setting.
  • Multitask effectively to handle multiple customer orders simultaneously.
  • Work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet customer demands.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of bartending experience in a high-volume establishment.
  • Demonstrated experience in crafting a wide variety of cocktails and mixed drinks.
  • Previous experience in an Irish bar or familiarity with Irish beverages is preferred.

Hospitality Skills:

  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.
  • Strong communication and listening skills.

Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Thorough understanding of mixology, drink recipes, and presentation techniques.
  • Familiarity with various types of alcohol, beer, and wine.
  • Knowledge of responsible alcohol service practices and regulations.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects (e.g., kegs, cases of alcohol).
  • Stamina to work long shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
