The RF Bar and Lounge at the Royal and Fortescue Hotel is a busy high street operation, well known for its professional and friendly service
We are looking for a full time Barista to join the team working day time shifts 9am-5pm or 8am-3pm
What will I be doing?
- As a Barista at The Royal and Fortescue, you are responsible for working in our RF bar and lounge and delivering excellent customer service to all of our guests and non-residents. You will also be required to take and deliver customer orders and work to achieve departmental targets. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Ensure all beverages we serve are made to the highest possible standard and reach our guests quickly and efficiently.
- Monitoring and adjusting our coffee machine/grinder to ensure we achieve the best possible extraction of espresso and a great tasting coffee for our guests.
- Prepare station for service which includes stocking condiments.
- Welcome customers, receive and record customers’ orders if necessary, alongside other members of the team.
- Serve food and drinks in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Clear and relay tables as necessary.
- Participate in the cleaning of the Lounge area alongside the other Waiting Staff.
- Understand and comply with company policy on HASAWA, fire precautions, and legal requirements, and perform any other tasks that may be required from time to time.
- Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships

- A neat and tidy appearance (hair and fingernails) and adherence to uniform requirements.

- Ability to work on your own or in a team
Previous Barista experience is essential in this role.
