About us

Loaf Mcr is one of Manchester's newest and most exciting artisan cake/coffee shops, specialising in loaf cake, coffee and pastries. We began in May 2020 in the height of the pandemic, supplying some of the cities finest cafes and businesses. The company now has two cake cafe's in the heart of the city centre; one by The People's History Museum and the other on Oxford Street near the Palace Theatre.

We are passionate about great food and great people, aiming to create an environment that's inclusive, fun, and inspiring - come and join us make something special!

What do we look for in a Barista?

A good experience working with coffee and the ability to dial in both espresso and filter coffee (And ideally great at pouring latte art!)

Passion for people and customer service, building essential relationships and loyalty our brand.

Great at working within a team and able to communicate effectively with people (both colleagues and customers).

Ability to work proactively, efficiently and energetically during peak times!

Hold very high standards in both work practice and the cafe environment, ensuring good hygiene and cleanliness at all times.

Flexible across a 7 day working week, as you will be required to work week days and weekends.

Love cakes and all things sweet, of course!

Job Types: Permanent, Part-time
Part-time hours: 12 per week

Salary: £10.50 per hour

• customer service: 3 years (preferred)
