Bakkavor Bread site based in Crewe, Cheshire makes chilled speciality bread such as sliced baguettes, hand-crafted flatbreads and dough balls. The site employs over 375 people in the factory and over 50 in its Distribution Centre. The site is located approximately 4 miles from Crewe town centre.

Responsibilities of the role

• Managing a team in fast paced manufacturing environment
• Day to day management of your team, driving team performance, efficiencies and KPI’s
• Supporting Area Manager
• Training of new staff and existing team members
• Ensuring all health and safety protocols are understood and followed

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate

• Results driven and motivated to lead a team to achieve output targets and KPI's
• Quality minded with a high degree of accuracy / attention to detail
• The ability to work under pressure
• Experience of working in a food manufacturing / production / fast paced environment
• Previous Team Leader/ Line Leader / Supervisory / Stand-In Roles experience is desirable
• Capable of working on own initiative with the ability and confidence to make decisions

As a Factory Operative you will be preparing, mixing and ensuring the production lines are operating efficiently. We manufacture many different products within the business so there’s a lot of variety within the role.

You will be a team player, resilient and will be able to adapt to a factory environment as it can be busy, pressured, cold and wet. Your safety is our priority and to ensure this we will provide you with training and the relevant personal protective equipment.
