Job description

We're looking for a barista to join our Canterbury team. We're on the hunt for people who are passionate about great coffee and keen to work for an independent speciality coffee roasting business.

All experience levels are welcome, but you'll receive full barista training at our Roastery and ongoing support and coaching to elevate your coffee skills.

As a team member in Canterbury, you'll be expected to pitch in with all the duties that come with operating in a busy coffee shop, including maintaining high standards and delivering exceptional customer service.

The Role

  • Ideally be a skilled barista, although full training will be provided
  • Develop and maintain excellent latte art skills
  • A passion for coffee (particularly speciality)
  • Be able to deliver great customer service & inspire those around you
  • A desire to share the Garage Coffee vision with customers, promoting coffee consumption by educating customers in an accessible way about all things speciality coffee
  • A willingness to represent Garage Coffee at events and markets as and when required
  • Enjoy working in a team environment, being able to multitask & communicate effectively
  • To adhere to any health and safety requirements and maintain a clean and tidy coffee shop at all time, including opening and closing duties
