About us
Walkmisu is an independent Italian company with two lovely locations in Central London: the iconic red phone boxes on the east corner of Russell Square Gardens, and a canteen inside the CIEE Study Centre.
We mainly specialise in freshly hand-made tiramisu and Italian coffees and hot drinks, but our menu also features a selection of pastries, sandwiches, pies, freshly baked pizza, Italian lasagna, Sicilian arancini rice balls, as well as snacks and soft drinks.
Job Description:
We are seeking a barista to join our team in our CIEE Cafeteria, a vibrant study centre that hosts students from all over the world.
This is a Monday to Friday position, closed for Christmas and Bank Holidays.
Although appropriate training will be provided, the ideal candidate would preferably have previous experience in the field, the ability to multitask, and a friendly and outgoing personality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve food, coffee and other beverages according to established recipes and standards
- Provide friendly and attentive customer service, ensuring that all customers are satisfied with their orders
- Operate espresso machines and other equipment with skill and precision
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the coffee bar, espresso machines, and surrounding areas
- Restock coffee beans, milk, cups and other supplies as needed
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately
- Follow health and safety guidelines, including proper food handling and sanitation practices
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure a positive and efficient workflow
