Trading Post Coffee Roasters is an artisan coffee roasting and hospitality business that is the soul of the Brighton coffee scene.
Since opening in 2017, Trading Post has expanded to serve freshly roasted coffee, food, and cocktails across Brighton and Sussex.

We have a passionate and busy team that, despite being under pressure at all times of the day, still manage to have fun on the job and enjoy every working day.
We are looking for a superstar skilled Barista with top attention to detail, efficiency and cleanliness along with a genuine passion for all things coffee. You will have some experience in a high-volume, quality coffee environment, serving quality shots and steaming milk. You will also be comfortable working with our top-of-the-range machines and grinders, and develop a strong understanding of at-home brewing methods to be able to advise your customers.
Our brilliant Baristas demonstrate a 'we're all in this together' attitude, confidence in a customer-focused environment and know what it takes to deliver top-quality coffee and great hospitality at all times.
What You Can Expect Your Responsibilities to Be...
- Dialling in grinders for all blends and single origins to the brand standard
- Open and close down the coffee section independently
- Multi-task and be able to perform a busy service solo
- Maintain the standard speed of service, quality and overall consistency
- Pouring basic latte art and have an understanding of alternative milks
- Maintain cleanliness at all times
- Demonstrate understanding of all Trading Post blends and single origins
- Communicate stock issues and shortages to the Head Barista and Duty Manager
- Be the face of positivity and motivation, bringing your best and most positive self at all times
- Consistently deliver great hospitality with huge personality within the hospitality standards framework

- Work to support a busy team and take an active part in contributing to team-driven results
