Location:
The Elser Hotel & Residences is a 49-story luxury condominium hotel located in Downtown Miami. The newly completed tower offers 646 fully furnished rooms/residences, over 19,000 square feet of curated amenities and 5,000 square feet of prime retail space. Named after the iconic Elser Pier, which was built in the 1900s and became the premier place for locals and visitors to enjoy the magical shoreline of Biscayne Bay in downtown Miami, The Elser Hotel & Residences will continue this tradition.

Overview:
Responsible for the complete setup of coffeebar area as well as restocking and breaking down at closing and any other tasks requested to assist with before and during the shift.
Responsibilities:
  • Greet and serve drinks guests in a warm, approachable, and hospitable manner.
  • Provide knowledgeable service that educates guests about our menu.
  • Prepare customers’ orders as requested accurately and efficiently.
  • Operate standard bar, coffee, and juice equipment.
  • Ring guest check correctly. Close the check to the proper method of payment, (i.e., cash, credit card or house charge).
  • Maintaining cleanliness behind the bar and in the dining area.
  • Performing opening and closing duties, as needed.
  • Maintaining the highest standards of food quality.
  • Assisting with storage, stocking, and maintenance of all products.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
  • 1 year of experience in a similar role is prefererred
  • Flexible schedule, able to work weekends and holidays when needed
  • Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests.
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.
  • Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings.
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Highgate Hotel Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and nametag.
  • Comply with Highgate Hotel Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.
  • Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
  • Must be able to understand and apply complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives. Must be able to cross-train in other hotel related areas.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Must be able to show initiative, including anticipating guest or operational needs.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management. Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times.
