Barista

Barista London, England

Attendant Coffee Roasters
Full Time London, England 10.5 GBP HOURLY Today
Job description

We are looking for a skilled Barista to join our Mayfair team and help us create meaningful experiences for our local communities through quality products, innovation, and an ever-evolving vision. But hold on to your tamper as this role isn't for the faint-hearted or the instant coffee drinkers!

Attendant Coffee Roasters founders Ryan and Bosh strive to create unique experiences in hospitality with quality brunch cafés serving sustainable and ethically sourced coffee and local, fresh produce. Their vision is to create welcoming spaces that offer a moment of respite from daily life, starting with their first location in a disused Victorian toilet in Fitzrovia. Attendant's wholesome, produce-driven menu and skilful roasting honour the hard work of farmers and growers. Since opening in 2013, Attendant has expanded into a coffee Roastery, Café, and Kitchen, aiming to bring permaculture to the UK café scene.

We need a motivated Barista who is passionate about providing great customer experience, great food, great coffee and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves (while holding their portafilter). You will be a collaborative team member who works with the Café Manager and the Senior Management Team, using emotional intelligence to communicate, inspire and drive your team.

Responsibilities will include setting and maintaining high standards of customer service, working alongside the Café Manager to manage and motivate the team, ensuring the cafe is clean and serviceable, complying with Health & Safety and Food Safety standards, and producing high-quality coffee and other beverages for our customers. As a Barista, you will be responsible for producing exceptional coffee using a range of brewing methods and techniques, including espresso, and producing batch brews. You will also be responsible for maintaining and cleaning the coffee equipment and ensuring that stock levels are maintained. Additionally, you will work closely with the Café Manager and Head Baristas to develop and refine coffee recipes, ensuring that it is always up-to-date and appealing to our customers.

We offer great perks including free lunch, as much free coffee, and tea as you can handle, and discounts that will make your wallet smile more than a perfectly poured latte!

This is a full-time, permanent position with a pay rate of £10.50 per hour + 12.5% service charge (Circa @2.50 per hour).

If you are a hands-on, collaborative Barista with at least 1 year of experience in a similar role, we want to hear from you! Join us in our mission to bring permaculture to the UK café scene and create meaningful experiences for our customers.
