Want to join a lively and talented team working for an independent publishing house? We have an exciting new job in our publicity department.
As a publicist you would be responsible for our growing collection of adults books, helping to implement publicity campaigns, arranging book signings and launches for new titles and being the main point of contact for authors and booksellers in your department.
You do not need to have previous publishing experience. You will be a crucial member of a supportive, lively and exciting team, and have the opportunity to learn new skills needed to promote a wide range of genres.
Responsibilities to include:
- Communicating with authors, booksellers, and media outlets
- Creating new publicity campaigns for social media
- Organising book launches and signings
- Sourcing new and exciting opportunities for promotion
- Putting together press releases and workshops
- Overseeing the publicity assistant
- Administrative support
No formal qualifications required but good communication and organisational skills are necessary. Publishing experience is not essential, training will be provided.
What we’re looking for from you:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office would be advantageous
- You’ll be highly organised, efficient and can multitask
- Good English skills are required, both written and spoken
