Job description
We are a desserts and coffee cafe based in Peterborough. We are a new business with the intention of growth and great reputation. We are looking for an experienced Barista to join our team. We don't just serve coffee, we also make milkshakes, cookie dough, crepes, waffles and much more.
Ideal candidate must have excellent customer service, be able to handle till and most importantly, have knowledge and be able to make a good cup of coffee. Experience is essential and latte art is desired. Must know all forms of coffee. Training will be provided for all other products.
Our opening times will be Monday-Sunday - 15:00pm - 12:00am. There is scope for the cafe to open during the day in the very nearer future.
Barista/All Rounder Team Member Responsibilities:
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of Amore Dolci.
- Be warm, friendly and entertaining whilst customers are waiting to be seated, Ability to think on their feet and use their initiative.
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and milkshakes
- Provides quality desserts and beverages, consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards. Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products.
- Ability to Cope under pressure
- Ability to self-manage
- Demonstrate Multi-tasking with ease
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Provide outstanding customer service and be able to anticipate customer’s needs and expectations:
- Maintaining high hygiene standards as well as being able to demonstrate food preparation skills.
- Follows Amore Dolci operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security, to ensure the safety of all partners during each shift
- Maintains a clean and organized workspace so that partners can locate resources and product as needed
The right candidate must ideally:
- live locally due to late closing times
- have at least 1 years’ experience in a busy environment
- speak English fluently
- be dedicated to WOW customer service
- hard working and dedicated
- able to use own initiative
- previous experience in a busy retail or hospitality operation
- Be prepared to work weekdays, weekends, evenings on a rota based system
