Job description
SERIOUS APPLICANTS ONLY. Applicants must be over 18 due to the working hours involved and sale of alcohol. We are recruiting 2 full time staff and 3 part time staff.
We are currently looking for a professional waiter / waitress with an element of bar work included, with at least 1 year of experience in high quality service.
We are a very busy restaurant so you will be required to work within a fast paced environment while remaining calm and focused.
There will be many hours available in the summer months, you may need to be called into work at short notice and we need candidates who are reliable. 25 + hours a week, a range of hours and schedules can be considered for the right candidates! This is a permanent position.
The ideal candidate should always be aware of guest satisfaction to deliver the perfect service experience and ensure s high quality of food and beverages for guests.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: servicing guests in a friendly, efficient manner while maintaining a clean and safe work environment, answering the phone, completing health and safety checks, preparing alcoholic beverages and coffees as well as opening and closing the restaurant. Guests must feel welcome, comfortable and well attended to at all times.
You may be asked to work at our other business premises in Hastings Old Town.

Responsibilities:
- Provide the perfect service experience for every Guest
- Ensure the Guest feels important and welcome in the restaurant
- Adhere to timing standards for products and services
- Look for ways to consolidate service and increase table turns
- Present menu, answer questions and make suggestions regarding food and beverage
- Serve the Guest in an accommodating manner
- Must know all food liquor, beer, wine and retail offered
- Apply positive suggestive sales approach to guide Guests
- Looks for ways to avoid waste and limit costs
- Assist in keeping the restaurant clean and safe
- Provide responsible service of alcoholic beverages
- Deliver food and beverages to any table as needed
- Must follow all cash handling policies and procedures
- Report to property on time and in proper uniform
