JOB PURPOSE:
Heidi's Bier Bar opened in March 2022, and has proved an unparalleled success. As we continue to get busier, we are looking for additional bartenders to join our amazing team.
We have Weekday and Weekend shifts available.
All new hires will be expected to assist the Management Team by ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the operation whilst maintaining brand standards and values. You will provide excellent guest service and help to increase sales revenue by providing a friendly, informative welcome to all Heidi’s guests.
Guest Service
- To provide a friendly welcome to all Heidi’s guests and be able to communicate venue events, information, and facilities
- Maintain friendly relationships with Heidi’s guests at all times
- To exceed Heidi’s guest expectations by implementing and maintaining the most efficient standards of guest service possible, at all times – serve them at the bar and make sure they have a great time!
- To suggest areas that may improve presentation and content in order to exceed guest expectations
- Ensure that all operational standards are complied with in order to assist with exceeding guest expectations
Security
- Comply with all company requirements with regards to entering and exiting the premises
- Report any accidents, defects or damages to equipment or the premises to the management team immediately
Licensing and Legislation
- Licensing training is mandatory and will be provided by the management team, as part of your induction, prior to your first shift
- Ensure unit and individual responsibilities are adhered to relating to statutory legislation and in particular not serving “underage” or “intoxicated” guests.
- Ensure that the Management Team are immediately notified of guests/employees who may be under the influence of drugs, underage, intoxicated etc.
Health and Safety Responsibilities
- It is your responsibility to promote responsible attitudes towards Health and Safety as follows: -
- Ensure that induction training is attended, this will include: the location of first aid boxes, fire exits and firefighting equipment, and information on the emergency evacuation procedure
- Ensure awareness of the Health and Safety policy which can be found on Polaris
- Keep up to date with Health and Safety matters
TASKS:
- To work as a member of the team in a designated bar area and providing help and assistance where required
- To successfully resolve guest complaints wherever possible referring unresolved complaints to your supervisor and to the management team
- Comply with displayed bar tariffs and any promotional offers applicable to each session
- Ensure your workstation is not left unattended
- Ensure that all areas are dry and clear of spillages or broken glass.
- Public and staff areas should be kept clean
- Maintain bar areas in line with operating standards
- Serve drinks, as ordered providing quality guest service
- Ensure good housekeeping standards are applied and deliver a safe environment through maintenance of the venue
- Complete all company Polaris training, including refresher courses, as and when required to do so

- Individual sales
- Guest feedback
- Till variances/discrepancies
- Stock/wastage discrepancies
- Training completion rate
WHAT IS EXPECTED FROM YOU:
- Maintain the highest standards of personal standards
- Patience and a high level of service-mindedness
- Ensure that all company policies and procedures are operated and followed correctly
- Take part in, and support, both local and national marketing promotional initiatives
- Account for all monies received accurately by the use of the relevant till system and ensure that error/void/wastage procedures are followed correctly
- Fully comply with company policy regarding the receipt of tips from guests
- Work in line with company policies and procedures with regards to work standards, cash control and stock control
PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.
