We are currently hiring for an experienced front of house assistant to come and join our brilliant team within our Beautiful Grade II* listed Georgian building in the heart of Norwich city centre! The restaurant and bar itself offers a large selection of food and drink including local produce, afternoon teas and spirits and wines from award winning local distilleries and vineyards. Our Food and Beverage assistants are vital in the day to day running of the hotel and are often the first people our guests see in the morning and the last people they see at night. The right candidate will have previous experience within a fast-paced working environment and a real passion for local food and drink. We are currently looking to expand the business so there will be plenty of opportunity to grow and progress within the hotel.

Roles and responsibilities

· Ensuring the restaurant and bar is set up for service.

· Maintaining a clean and organised working environment at all times

· Working within a team and independently to complete tasks to a high standard.

· Providing excellent service for both hotel guests as well as our regular clientele

· Handling any complaints or issues which may arise

· Achieve KPIs and hit targets within the restaurant.

· You will be able to take ownership of your workspace and bring new ideas to the business – these will always be rewarded!

  • Target driven
  • Passionate about food and drink
  • Friendly and approachable
  • Previous experience in an F&B environment
  • Passionate about customer service, presentation and cleanliness
  • An ability to multitask and problem solve

Benefits

Working within our hotel comes with its benefits too, like a 20% staff discount for food & drink, accommodation and treatments. We also run regular incentives alongside our suppliers to ensure that restaurant and bar staff always feel rewarded for their work and know that they will always be taken care of at St Giles House Hotel.
