Key Responsibilities
People
- Demonstrate effective leadership skills: delegation, motivation, assertiveness, coaching and giving feedback
- Assist in the supervised on job experience (bar team)
- Conduct site walk arounds with all new team members within your department (Bar)
- Train and develop team members in your department ensuring all completed tasks are signed off and adequate training provided.
- Organize and manage a successful shift, utilizing daily “BOOM BRIEFS” to energise the team and deliver any relevant information needed to execute the perfect shift
- Lead from the front and show empathy with your team. As a leader you should have the respect of your team. Work harder and smarter than them and always LEAD BY EXAMPLE
- Manage and proactively update all staff P-files, Holiday trackers, and Refresher training within your department
- Cross training in all departments within the venue
Practises
- Assist in managing the business within the parameters of UK licensing law.
- Ensure your departmental cleaning schedules are kept up to date, reviewed and countersigned as required on a daily,weekly or monthly basis.
Practices
- Ensure all completed staff training is placed in the team members P-file
- Ensure “BOOM boards” are up to date with any relevant updates to our practises
- Leading a small team of staff by example, pitching in to help with drink mixing or table service where necessary
- Ensuring that the front-of-house is fully staffed, particularly during peak times
- Meeting sales and profitability targets
- Creating a welcoming environment for customers
- Ensuring consistent, high quality beverages are served to customers
- Dealing with customer feedback and providing adequate solutions to customer complaints
- Creating a positive work environment for staff and encouraging their career development
- Monitoring inventory of beverages to ensure adequate stock
- Overseeing the cleanliness of staff and the physical bar area and paying attention to possible health hazards and regulation violations
- Stock take and conducting LWC orders
- Profitability and revenue and Wastage reporting
- Upskilling and developing their team members
- Identifying issues and problem solving
- Bar rota authorizing and covering annual leave in your department
Guests
- Ensure that you and your team exceed every guest's expectations and provide a “we care” attitude toward every element of the service; we want our guests to leave as Boom Fanatics.
- Drive the team promote guest feedback through social media
- The Manager on duty must deal with any negative feedback on site immediately “Every guest should leave happy” and feel that “WE CARE”.
- Surprise and Delight- Boom is something unique, and our experiences create lasting memories for our guests. Don't do the normal to make your guests happy go above and beyond to make sure every guest is blown away
- Ensure that the guest journey is followed throughout the venue
- Ensure social media for the venue is active and vibrant
Profit
- As a bar manager you will be responsible for the safe, float, petty cash, key checks and banking and security when running a shift and in the manager's absence
- Carry out daily routines: cashing up, deposits, reconcile till reports at the end of shift/day report on back office, input invoices and ordering, demonstrating good daily financial controls
- Ensure labor schedules are live up to a minimum of 2 weeks in advance, against projected sales and budget for your department
- Monthly stock takes are to be carried out for consumables
- Ensure all paperwork is completed to company standard

Salary: £9.00-£12.00 per hour
