Job description
We are a busy Bar in the heart of Newcastles gay scene in search of upbeat and friendly Bar Staff. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience working in a fast-paced environment, effectively communicating with customers, and working well in a team setting. The Bar Staff will be responsible for handling customer orders and payments at the bar, as well as assisting the Head Bar Staff when necessary. We're looking for enthusiastic staff who also know how to balance work with play.
Responsibilities:
Serve beverages to customers.
Respond to customer questions about the drinks menu.
Ensure that proper glassware and other equipment is available for use.
Keep the bar area clean and well organized.
Keep the bar stocked with beverages in accordance with local regulations.
Maintain a cash register or similar point of sale device while on duty at the bar counter.
Follow legal requirements for serving minors (e.g., checking identification).
