The Holiday Inn Bolton is a busy City Centre hotel. Our hotel boasts a gym, a Restaurant, Bar, Conference and Event areas and a 16th Century church.

General Scope and Purpose

To be totally customer focused by consistently delivering excellent customer service with an informed, friendly and effective approach.
To assist with the service of our guests, thus ensuring all guests receive efficient, professional service at all times, thus satisfying their needs.

Responsibilities
1. To ensure hotel guests are served alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with hotel policy, taking every opportunity to upsell.
2. To follow company procedures for payment by cash, cheque, credit card and company/guest accounts and record appropriately.
3. To ensure the Bar and service areas are kept clean and tidy at all times.
4. To carry out mise en place for your shift, using department’s checklist.
5. To ensure Bar stocks are rotated and displayed according to company guidelines, thus ensuring all products are served in good condition.
6. To be fully aware of all current liquor licensing laws and follow such regulations strictly. 7. To follow the safe working practices laid down when changing cellar equipment.
8. To be fully aware of and strictly observe all Health and Safety and Food Hygiene regulations. This to include the 1990 Food safety Act.
9. To accept other duties as directed by superiors to ensure the efficient operation of the Food & Beverage department. This may include: a) Table service of wine and drinks b) Food service c) Assistance with training of team members
10. Consistently deliver superior customer service through our customer service programme.
11. To attend training when required.
12. To be fully aware of and adhere to Health and Safety and fire procedures.
13. To be fully aware of and comply with hotel and company rules and regulations as identified in the team member handbook.
