Job Title Banking & Finance - Associate Position Full Time Role Associate Location London Practice Area/Department Banking Description ROLE OVERVIEW The team The banking and finance team handles a wide variety of financing transactions, acting for a core client base of banks, financial institutions, corporate borrowers, fund managers, corporate trustees and high net worth individuals. A significant part of our work involves advising on international transactions with a cross-border element. We advise on acquisition financing, real estate finance (both investment and development), investment funds, private equity investment, hedging, securitisation, project finance (including renewable energy financing), receivables financing and structured finance. The team also has experience in advising on insurance finance, and working on complex regulatory matters, acting alongside the corporate insurance and financial services group. We are a collaborative team, committed to providing an excellent service to our clients, building on our reputation as being commercial and solution focused. The role We are looking for an associate with c.3-6 years of PQE.You will have gained experience in a broad range of banking and finance matters including real estate and acquisition finance, as well as general corporate finance. Experience of any of the other areas of finance described above is a positive. This role offers opportunity to maintain a mixed banking and finance practice, with room to grow into different specialisms, while achieving high levels of client contact and involvement in business development. Knowledge, skills and experience 3-6 years PQE, you will be able to apply technical knowledge and expertise with appropriate supervision. Demonstrable experience gained within a recognised finance practice. Able to deliver commercial solutions and an outstanding client experience. Committed to business development to further grow the practice. Able to manage client relationships and deliver trusted relationships. Committed to being part of a supportive, inclusive and collaborative team culture. Understands how to manage and develop junior team members and support their ambitions.
