This group is responsible for developing enterprise applications for a diverse set of businesses including Fixed Income, Equities, Commodities, Investment Banking, Research, and Global Capital Markets. In addition, ICT provides technology solutions for client-aligned groups and company-wide divisions, such as Finance and Operations, post-trade functions within the Institutional Securities Group and standardized data and enterprise-wide services to provide leverage to the Firm's businesses.
Job Description
The Index and Structured E-Trading Practice Area is looking for a technologist, preferably with experience in a Front-Office Sales & Trading environment to join its global team of developers. A successful candidate will have good C++ knowledge, system integration experience, balanced with development experience in other technologies such as SQL, XML/SOAP, python, etc. We are most interested in people who have thorough understanding of the flows in their area of business expertise and are eager to learn. Good communication is also critical.
Responsibilities
The role involves hands-on development in C++ with a strong focus on FIX-based order management and will offer challenging opportunities to develop business knowledge and technical skills through delivering projects across the various product lines of the Structured Products business. The goal for this group is to consolidate the largely diversified platform through a series of business focused, iterative projects. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with the colleagues around the globe while helping on the regional deliveries.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills:
Strong technical skills preferably in a front office sales and trading environment
C++ experience but a mix of other languages such as Python would be beneficial
Experience in UNIX shell scripting and Python
SQL, XML knowledge or exposure should be value add
Strong communications skills
Self-starter
Ability to solve real world business problems and be excited about the business
