We are looking for Operating Department Practitioners (ODPs) and Theatre Practitioners to join HCA Healthcare across all of our world famous facilities, Including; London Bridge Hospital, The Wellington Hospital, Princess Grace Hospital, The Harley Street Clinic, The Portland Hospital and The Lister Hospital.

Bank hourly rate between £27.77ph – £42.77 dependent upon shift.
***Rates inclusive of WTR include indicative additional amount separately payable on claiming accrued annual leave. WTR is calculated on the average hourly pay rate over the preceding 52 weeks and may therefore differ from the amount included in the above WTR rates***

The theatre team comprises of consultants and Practitioners who have vast experience and knowledge across a range of specialties. There are many complex procedures carried out daily, across a range of acute specialities, including orthopaedics, thoracic, urology, spinal, gynaecology, reconstructive, ophthalmic, complex liver, transplant, neurosurgical and cardiac procedures, as well as general and paediatric surgery.
Job Description
- As an Operating Department Practitioner/Theatre Practitioner, you will assess, develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care for patients undergoing surgical procedures with minimal supervision. In addition to this, you will also actively contribute to the maintenance of an environment that is conducive to the delivery and promotion of a high standard of patient care.
- Deliver a consistently high standard of patient care utilising evidence based practice
- Assessing, planning, delivering and evaluation of all aspect of patient care
- Prepare patients and provide assistance for clinical/operative procedures
- Participate fully as a team member, including working in all areas of the theatre suite, sharing knowledge and information and supporting colleagues, to promote a cohesive team and the achievement of team objectives
Skills & Experience
- Operating Department Practitioner/Registered Nurse qualified
- Post graduate experience in Theatres
- ALS trained
- Current HCPC/NMC Registration
