Position: Care Assistant - Nights
Care Home: Otterburn
Location: Birmingham (B14 6QX)
Contract type: FULL TIME 36, 42, 48 hours available only
Shifts Available: 12 hours shifts 8-8. Minimum 3 x 12 hour shifts per week available
Rate/Salary: £10 per hour nights. £9.50 per hour days
CQC Rating: Good (26-Apr-19)

About Otterburn:

Otterburn supports 30 adults living with complex mental health needs, neuro-disabilities and physical disabilities.

The home has three ten-bed units, which gives it a homely and welcoming feel.

About the Role:

Your role will involve supporting people with all aspects of their day-to-day living, which may include taking up new hobbies, meeting friends, getting involved in social activities, going to the gym or looking their best!

Your day-to-day duties will include:

  • Providing personal care such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing and on occasion, assisting with mealtimes
  • Promote independence, dignity, respect and choice across service users
  • Support social and recreational activities; both in and out the home individually, or as part of a group
  • Maintain care records, recording observations, activities and assessments
  • On occasion, welcome and train new members of your care team
