Bank Health Care Assistant

To work as an integral part of the team with responsibility for the co-ordination of all patient areas / services in the department and to ensure a clean, safe welcoming environment. The post holder will undertake and continually practice in a way that meets the Care Certificate standards.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and committed Health Care Assistant to work with us, with a real interest in cancer care.
We are looking for HCAs with some experience of working in the hospital environment. The post holder requires excellent communication skills, be highly organised and deliver care to the highest standards. You will working as part of a team and provide support to the nursing team.
The successful candidates will have the opportunity to provide essential supportive care to patients and their families whilst working in the wards.

To undertake and practice the Care Certificate standards.
Monitor and record patients’ vital signs (including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, oxygen saturation) and report any abnormal results to registered nursing staff.
Measure and record patients’ height and weight.
Assist with nutrition where applicable (e.g. assisting with menu completion, feeding assistance) working closely with the ward host/hostess.
