Permanent Full-Time Post
We are looking for a new 8a Relational Therapies Lead who is has a strong interest in developing and overseeing the delivering of brief psychodynamic/systemic therapy in a primary care setting.
Tower Hamlets Talking Therapies is a highly respected NHS Talking Therapies service with a well-established relational therapies team. The post holder will be part of a very dynamic service and will work alongside therapists trained in a range of therapies including systemic and couple therapies, EMDR, CBT, Mindfulness, DIT, psychodynamic and integrative therapies, a PWP team and a community engagement team. Due to the diverse population in Tower Hamlets, there is a unique opportunity to work with clients from a wide variety of cultural backgrounds and get involved in our active community outreach work.
This role presents an excellent opportunity for an experienced Band 7 Psychodynamic/Systemic Psychotherapist or Psychologist who is looking to progress into a management and leadership role. If required, the successful candidate will be mentored and offered training to support their transition into this role. The post holder will be joining a supportive team of five other 8a Leads and will have plenty of peer support opportunities.
This is a permanent full time post, with the expectation that all clinical staff work one late evening per week (11am-7pm).
The post will be a permanent full time post and the post holder will have experience of providing relational therapy in any of the following modalities i.e., Brief Psychodynamic, Integrative, Systemic therapy, DIT (Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy), or IPT (Interpersonal Therapy), with people presenting with common mental health problems.
The post holder will be responsible for managing and overseeing the effective delivery of relational therapies by staff in THTT, including providing clinical supervision; case management and teaching/training to staff in the relational stream and the wider service.
The post holder will work as part of and in coordination with the other THTT 8a management team leads and will also provide line management; Manager of the Day and duty cover.
