Job description
We are looking for a Team Lead Band 7 Radiographer to join our radiographic workforce at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals Trust.
The role will be a prominent leadership position within the department. They will be line managing, mentoring and supporting a team of Radiographers with an empathetic and caring attitude.
Looking ahead, we have secured substantial additional funding from Health Education England for Radiographer training and role development.
Our CDC in St Albans is progressing, with works starting in 2023/24. This will include additional CT and MRI.
Outside of work you’ll also benefit from being on good transport links with London (underground), being a short walk into different shopping centres and our department socials.

The duties and responsibilities of the post holder include:
- Being an effective member the Radiology senior team
- Providing leadership to Radiographic staff.
- Supporting Radiology services across all WHTH sites.
- Mentoring junior staff and students.
- Completing and record keeping of QA testing.
- Following IRMER17 regulations whilst undertaking radiology examinations to a high standard.
- Participation on the additional shifts’ rota (Saturdays and evenings)
