Are you an experienced Band 7 or existing Band 6 Occupational Therapist specialising in hand therapy, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated, and flexible Band 7 Hand Therapist to join our team.
With a passion for delivering high quality patient care , you will work alongside the Orthopaedic and Hand Surgeons to provide the best possible outcomes for patients, taking a lead in the development and delivery of the hand therapy service. Alongside your highly specialist clinical role you will also provide leadership to the assistant staff in the Hand Therapy team.
You will participate in the provision of weekend, bank holiday and extended hours as appropriate to support the orthopaedic service. This work may be incorporated into contracted hours or may involve working additional hours.
This is a band 7 role ,however we would consider this as a Band 6 to Band 7 development opportunity with set timeframes and objectives in place to achieve this transition.
You will will work with patients who have a wide range hand injuries and those who have undergone surgical procedures. Therefore, you require experience of conditions such as simple and complex fractures, tendon injuries, dupuytren’s contracture and extensor tendon surgery protocols. The specific service focus is on providing acute regimes with thermoplastic and other splinting techniques.
