Colposcopy & Hysteroscopy is a very busy department where we care for women who need further examination following a smear test and women who experience Post-Menopausal Bleeding. The department is open Monday to Friday with some Saturdays This will be a varied role working in both Colposcopy & Hysteroscopy within our team of clinicians, CNS, Nurses & Allied Health Care Professionals We pride ourselves on being responsive, empathetic and flexible in continuing to develop the services offered to women. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a strong interest in Women’s Health. You will be eager to learn and have an interest in Gynaecology and Women’s Health. The post holder will be a clinically based nurse who will support and strengthen the nursing contribution to patients & service users within the department To deliver high quality, safe, compassionate patient centered care that respects and maintains dignity at all times for ladies undergoing Outpatient Colposcopy or Hysteroscopy To facilitate efficient and effective care and communication between the patient and their care providers and to act as patient advocate at all times To contribute to practice development within the clinical setting and work in accordance to the trusts values, policies and guidelines Complete any work based training associated with the role Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust is the first of its type in the UK.
