Are you a compassionate and enthusiastic Physiotherapist looking for a new and exciting role within mental health?

Pulse is now recruiting for a band 5/6 Physiotherapist to join the mental health Dementia Rehabilitation team at an innovative NHS trust based in Nottingham. The post is available to start as soon as possible, working full-time hours per week for an initial 3-month period.

In this role, the physiotherapist will contribute to a high-quality physiotherapy service to adults as part of the MDT, providing a rehabilitation service within a residential setting, hospital, and community setting. To carry out an assessment, goal setting, implementation, and evaluating of treatment programmes for patients with complex problems/needs in conjunction with the patient/client, family /carers, and the wider MDT. The post holder must make sure they are Being proactive in facilitating discharges back to the community wherever possible by working with patients/clients and their careers and other members of the team by setting realistic goals and evaluating their outcomes.

Duties within this role may include:

  • Provide physiotherapy treatment to patients who have mental health conditions
  • Working within a multidisciplinary team
  • Help to manage mobility
  • Managing own caseload efficiently
  • Being legally and professionally responsible for own work

Skills and experience needed:

  • HCPC registration
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Experience working with mental health
  • Relevant degree/qualifications
