Intune Dance and Movement is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our teaching team.

We are currently recruiting for a Ballet teacher for classes at St Hugh's School on Thursday afternoons.
The timetable is likely to be:
- Year 1 (3.00pm - 3.45pm
- Year 2 (3.45pm - 4.30pm)
- Years 3 and above (4.45pm - 5.30pm)
This is a freelance position. The rate of pay is £90 for the afternoon's teaching. Full training will be provided.
Duties and key responsibilities:
- To teach RAD ballet classes as agreed with the principal.
- To act as an ambassador for the school and support the school’s ethos and vision.
- To work with the principal to plan schemes of work, lessons and school events.
- To provide choreography for performances.
- To be a key point of contact for participants at the venue before, during and after lessons and to report any issues or concerns to the principal as soon as possible.
- To ensure the teaching environment is safe and secure for yourself and participants and report any issues to the principal or venue staff immediately.
- To keep online registers up to date.
- To be the adult responsible for any student teaching assistants supporting the class.
- To ensure teaching qualifications and training are kept up to date and undertake training as required by the school.
- To contribute towards assessments and reports.
- To meet with the principal on a regular basis as agreed by both parties.
Requirements
- A background in dance, specifically ballet
- Experience of working with young children
- Own mode of transport
- An enhanced DBS check and subscription to the DBS update service. If this is not up to date a new check will need to be
Desirable
- Dance teaching qualifications or working towards one
- First Aid training
