The Role

As a member of the Bolton team, you will be responsible for mixing ingredients in line with various recipes to ensure the continuous production flow of quality product to the bakery. You must be able to work in a team and unsupervised and adhere to food safety, and health and safety procedures within the Mixing Deck work area. The role includes an element of manual handling of products up to 25kg.

Previous experience in a similar role or in the food industry is advantageous.

Please note: all operatives working in this area will need to be clean-shaven as they may need to wear a fitted dust mask.

Hours: Sunday - Thursday or Monday - Friday 22:00 - 06:00

Additional pay: After 2-week training period operatives using mixing machines receive an additional payment of 46p per hour.

Key Accountabilities include

· Mixing of raw ingredients to the correct specification in line with recipes.

· Completion of process control paperwork to meet compliance requirements.

· Ability to plan ahead to ensure the team meet supply level requirements for the bakery.

· To ensure good hygiene and housekeeping practices are always maintained.

· To ensure good communications are maintained within the organisation.

· To maintain a high level of motivation within the team through effective communication.

· To ensure all Company procedures and rules are adhered to.

· To ensure all plant and equipment is operated with due care and attention.

Candidate profile

· Must have good level of literacy and numeracy skills

· Thorough and systematic approach to work with the adaptability to deal with the demands of a physical fast-paced manufacturing environment.

· Excellent communication skills.

· Tenacious with a ‘can do’ attitude.

· Excellent time management, planning and decision-making skills.
