Job description
Come and get some pep in your step at The Exploding Bakery! We are looking for a general assistant in our commercial bakery. The job involves assisting the warehouse staff & the bakers with general food prep & baking. Making and labelling boxes and cleaning, as well as shifting ingredients and packaging and maintaining the walk in freezers.
The Job involves being on your feet, lifting up to 25 kilos regularly, using pallet trucks and working alone making boxes in the packing area.
No particular experience is required except a keen interest in food and a can do attitude. Would suit someone who is upbeat and energetic, loves a bit of cake and doesn't mind working away on their own sometimes with a podcast or being part of the team when required.
Working hours will be 8 hour shifts, anywhere between 6am start time and 7pm finish time.
Please note, this job is in our wholesale bakery on Marsh Barton Industrial Estate, and not our cafe.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 16 - 40 per week
Salary: £10.50-£10.75 per hour
