An exciting opportunity to join Northern as Employee Experience Manager.

In this role, you will support the Employee Experience Business Partner to develop a deeper understanding of the employee experience, embedding the employee experience framework whilst identifying new opportunities and supporting the delivery of initiatives to enhance each stage of the employee lifecycle. You will also effectively promote Northern’s cultural ambitions and embed Northern’s values into all areas of the employee lifecycle.

You will support the business to improve the employee experience year-on-year by a number of measures including the level of employee satisfaction and the elements that make up the Employee Engagement Index.

You will also work with the HR and operational teams to ensure that best practice, EDI principles and cultural aims and ambitions are fully embedded into the key areas of people management, including:

  • Recruitment
  • Induction
  • Performance reviews
  • Talent management
  • Succession planning
  • Recognition
  • Retention
  • Learning & development
  • Case management
  • Gathering & analysis of employee engagement data and engagement action planning
  • Exit/separation management.

Requirements of the successful candidate are as follows:

Experience Required
  • Experience of influencing change in the organisation’s culture
  • Experience of working with Employee Experience frameworks
  • Generalist or specialist HR/people management background
  • Experience of managing complex projects
  • Experience of working in a fast paced, dynamic business with proven experience of aligning quickly with changing priorities
  • Design and delivery of engaging employee initiatives
  • Evidence of CPD or a well developed professional network to draw upon experience of latest trends / initiatives on employee engagement & diversity.
