The part you'll play
With a range of baggage handling responsibilities, you'll be one of a team looking after the belongings of millions of people setting off on all kinds of journeys. Whether you're loading or unloading, manually or mechanically, you'll be a safe pair of hands that gets their luggage wherever it needs to be, and at the right time. You'll carry out aircraft and equipment inspections and hazard checks, reporting any faults and taking care of the paperwork needed to get the job done. Following safety, security and airline-specific procedures, you'll put our customers' - and their customers' - needs at the heart of everything you do.
- Carry out tasks allocated in the baggage hall.
- On-load and off-load baggage manually or mechanically, in accordance with the relevant training received.
- Gather, input and process all data and documentation necessary for the fulfilment of the success of the operation, by manual, automated or computerised systems, including weather reporting.
- Undertake all relevant baggage sortation duties in a safe and efficient manner.
- Carry out area hazard checks.
- Carry our aircraft inspections.
- Carry out equipment inspections.
- Report any faults or irregularities with equipment, facilities or processes to the appropriate management.
- Carry out Head-set duties, including communication with the flight deck, in accordance with the relevant training received.
- Operate position and remove company equipment, in a safe and efficient manner, in accordance with the relevant training received.

Working in an Airside role, to follow aviation security requirements, you will be required to hold a full Airside Security Pass. To obtain this we will need 5 years' full referencing history, with a Criminal Record Check.
