What You'll Do
In April 2024, BCG will be offering an elective for exceptional medical students to gain a unique insight into healthcare management. As future leaders of healthcare, you will have the opportunity to develop your business skills, and be exposed to a range of topics within medicine. Opportunities will range from gaining a further understanding of the structures and mechanics of the NHS, to leveraging the potential of healthcare technologies to redefine the provision of healthcare, and addressing the latest challenges in the pharmaceutical industry. BCG partners with leaders in industry to tackle their most important challenges and capture their greatest opportunities to shape a brighter, more sustainable future.
Please note this medical elective does not form part of the BCG recruitment process for permanent employees.
What You'll Bring (Experience & Qualifications)
- You are in your penultimate or final year of medical school
- You are applying as part of your medical school formal elective programme
- You are able to spend 7 weeks with BCG during the spring of 2024
- You have achieved a grade of 2:1 or higher in any B.Sc. / BA you have completed
- You have an exceptional academic record with minimum of 360 UCAS points
- You demonstrate evidence of high level success in extracurricular activities You can exhibit a genuine interest / experience in healthcare management

Your CV should be in a consulting appropriate format and your cover letter should include your reasons for wanting to participate in the medical elective and why you would be an appropriate fit. Successful applicants will be invited to take the quantitative case and take part in 2 interviews.
