We are currently looking to hire a temporary on going Backshift Manager based at our hub in Thames Valley, 45 hours per week, Monday - Friday, between 16:00 - 02:00.
To effectively and efficiently manage the Warehouse day/afternoon and evening operation and ensuring that this is conducted in line with company procedures whilst meeting the highest standard of implementation. To establish and maintain a successful Hub, by building credibility and trust within relationships at all levels. To plan an effective delivery of Warehouse Operations management services for the location, whilst achieving targeted performance objective and to ensure that the site has the capability through its infrastructure and resources to achieve and deliver Company goals.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop a good understanding of the workings of the operation to ensure service levels are achieved.
- Ensure that employees are regularly briefed in line with Company communications & strategy.
- Develop and implement targets, action/operational plans and goals for improving service delivery, customer satisfaction, and people management.
- Ensure company compliance and KPI’s are adhered to in line with company targets, setting the highest standards in all areas of the business.
- Ensure that effective systems and processes exist to enable key performance measures to be monitored and achieved.
- Continually monitor performance levels of the Hub and take remedial action to deal with under performance
- Ensure effective management of Dell, High Value and Hold Bay systems
- Maximise working relationships within the hub to achieve maximum co-operation and effective ‘team working’
- Develop and implement resource plans, including budgets, recruitment and training/development
- Carry out any other duties that may be reasonably required in the context of the job role, or as instructed by the Site/Ops Manager.
Experience & Skills required:
- Experience of leading a team in a similar role
- Good knowledge of all computer systems relevant to the operation
- Excellent verbal and written communication is appropriate and in line with Data Protection Regulations.
