Back of House Manager
We are recruiting a full time Back of House Manager
within the kitchen porter / kitchen teams,
who will be responsible for the general upkeep of back of house areas.
Overview of role
To keep the hotel kitchens and subsidiary areas clean in line with hotel and hygiene regulations managing a team of Kitchen Porters.
Working 40 hours per week (Shifts)
Weekend and bank holiday working required.
- To ensure that equipment is stored correctly and that breakages are monitored.
- To ensure that all equipment is distributed across the site to meet the needs of the business.
- To supervise and assist in the cleaning of the workings of machinery used in the job so as to avoid breakages.
- Monitor and maintain the waste streams across the estate.
- To supervise and assist in the clearing any refuse from the kitchen areas and empty all refuse bins as often as necessary.
- To deliver an effective kitchen porter rota to the business needs.
- To ensure the team are working more efficiently.
- Ensure all check lists are complete with suitable action taken if required.
- To supervise and assist in the cleaning all walls, floors, work surfaces, equipment as per cleaning schedule.
- To supervise and assist in the cleaning all used pots, pans trays etc, using the washing up facilities provided.
- To supervise and assist in the cleaning of the Staff Canteen for use throughout the day.
- To always prioritise the guest’s experience and constantly strive for excellence.
