Role Overview
We now have an exciting opportunity for an Aviation Security Officer to join the G4S team in securing the premises of one of our new aviation facilities in Farnborough. We need someone with a security background and strong customer service experience, as this role is predominantly client-facing.
You will deal with high-end clients and vendors at the facility, so you will be the first person visitors meet on arrival this role is key to creating a professional and friendly atmosphere - from ensuring the reception area is presentable, to assisting with refreshments and ensuring requests are dealt with in a timely manner. The role will require you to perform general security duties alongside high-end customer service. We pride ourselves on delivering excellent customer service in a safe and secure environment.
The role requires flexibility as it is a 0-hour contact and operations accrue on days, nights, and weekends,
Main duties include:
- verification of IDs of visitors of the Site;
- issuing visitor’s passes;
- handling telephone enquiries;
- customer support;
- internal and external patrols of the Site;
- access control alarm monitoring
- CCTV monitoring;
- escorting visitors in restricted areas, as required
The Ideal Candidate
You will need to be aged 18 or over, a confident communicator who is a team player with the drive to provide a friendly and professional service at all times. You must be flexible and available to work on a varied shift pattern which will include days, nights, and weekends. It would be a benefit to have some security experience, however, it’s not essential, as we provide full Aviation Security training.
