Job description

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Administrative Officer to join our friendly team. We are committed to delivering a high quality service and the very best standard of care for our patients. You will work as part of the administrative and Physiotherapy team providing high quality administration support for the Physiotherapy out patient services.

This will involve dealing with patient enquires on the telephone, booking patient appointments and supporting the reception area.

Accordingly we will provide a comprehensive induction together with your own structured personal development plan to support your future development and give you every chance to further develop your skills, knowledge and experience.

To assist in the provision of a full range of clerical duties to both the clinical and administrative areas within the team; being in contact with patients, their relatives, carers, and healthcare professionals. Some Administrators may contribute to a reception service.

Manage all contact (including face to face, telephone, email, texts and MyMFT with patients, relatives, and carers in a sensitive way, always ensuring patient confidentiality.

Carry out duties in line with Trust Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Be responsible for the completion, and their compliance with, Trust mandatory training.

Utilise the Trust Systems to accurately record patient details and activities (including but not limited to appointments, admissions, discharge, additions to waiting lists), ensure the timely recording of all patient activity in line with the Trust Patient Access Policy including data quality requirements.

Provide a telephone service, answering and recording incoming calls, relaying queries, and messages as necessary, liaising with other departments and external organisations where appropriate.
