We are seeking individuals who are committed, reliable and hardworking, to join our friendly team, in Drayton, Portsmouth. The Haven Rest Home is a family run business, established in 1982.
Various days/shift patterns available.
Hours are 10pm - 8am
Working as a Sleep Night Care Assistant, you’ll play an important part in ensuring our residents are safe, comfortable and cared for throughout the night.
Your role will be varied, interesting and rewarding, from general care right through to specialist dementia care. You'll be on hand to assist the waking night staff, if the needs of the residents arise. You will be there to assist in any emergency situation and able to assist in a smooth, quick and efficient evacuation. You’ll ensure residents’ daily progress is recorded and reported accurately, and you’ll help to prepare the home for the day ahead.
You’ll also develop strong relationships with the individuals you work with, and their families, offering support and reassurance. Above all, you’ll always be respectful of residents’ choices, dignity and independence.
£60 per sleep shift. Any time spent 'working' will be paid at an agreed hourly rate.
Hourly rate is subject to experience and qualifications.
