Available Homes Officer / Admin needed in Leatherhead, £16.86ph PAYE – Reference: 0007 8426 / 1
Part time – 18 hours per week – flexible.
Predominantly remote but required to attend meetings once a month in Leatherhead
3 month contract
- Accountable for the timely and appropriate letting of properties to minimise the loss of rental income to the association.
- Manage the end of tenancy process once a customer notice is received or a property has been repossessed, and attempt to retain tenants that have maintained their tenancy well.
- Liaise with Neighbourhood teams, Repairs team, contractors and Development to ensure that properties are ready to let, and are let, quickly and within target timescales.
- Advertise our properties quickly either directly or via a local authority under the terms of our nomination agreements.
- Work closely with local authorities to ensure that we offer our available homes to those most in need and in accordance with our agreements with them.
- Manage the process of shortlisting and arranging viewings efficiently and effectively.
- Prepare the tenancy agreement and arrange for the sign up of applicants, including in-notice viewings with the current tenant.
- To develop a good understanding of local housing markets and provide advice to the Customer Support team on levels of demand for properties where a tenancy is subject to review.
- Provide advice to customers on areas where properties are, or are likely to become, availabile to meet their needs, and process their applications where we hold a local register.
- Provide housing options advice to customers who are reaching their end of their existing fixed term tenancy with Clarion as required.
- Work with neighbourhood teams and asset management to identify properties and areas that are becoming hard-to-let and contribute towards solutions.
- Activate the tenancy post sign up, and process the sign up documentation and CORE forms accurately and on time.
This is a part time role on a temporary contract basis.
