Automation QA Engineer
Salary up to £80,000

We are seeking an Automation QA Engineer to join our team, reporting to the QA Lead. As our Automation QA Engineer, you will work closely with our software engineering teams, product and project managers to keep pushing the quality of our products and features so that they are robust and scalable. There will occasionally be an expectation to also support with manual QA tasks from time to time, however as the function develops and our automation framework grows, this position will become 100% automation focused.
Responsibilities:
Drive our automated testing using Cypress.io to ensure high-quality software
Develop and execute automated test cases and scripts
Work closely with the development team to identify, prioritise, and fix software defects
Participate in code reviews to ensure maintainability, scalability and coding standards
Continuously improve our testing process and use of tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness
Provide guidance to other team members based on best practices
Requirements:
It would be highly beneficial to have worked in a startup or scale up environment where you have built out test cases from scratch with minimal supervision
Strong experience in automated testing using test frameworks and applications such as Cypress.io/Playwright
You are a true team player and used to diving into manual testing as per business and team needs
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills; you are not afraid to think on your own two feet when it comes to building out solutions to problems they do not yet have an outcome or processes
Load/Performance testing experience
Experience with testing responsive web applications
Experience working in an Agile environment
