Job description

Paydock is a Fintech Scaleup. We provide a sophisticated payment solution to online merchants who want to increase profit and flexibility in their payment solution. We work with large retailers, financial institutions, marketplaces and large Not-For-Profits. Our teams are located internationally across London, Ukraine and Sydney.

In the Automation QA Engineer role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the QA automation operations for our projects working in an agile organization. Your challenges: improve the QA automation process to drive the quality of our products, by writing, reviewing and executing automation test scripts.

You will have the opportunity to work with global leaders, payment service providers and technology vendors across Europe, APAC, the US and other markets while being part of the next generation of payments for merchants and the industry.

As a significant contributor to the business, you will report to the QA Lead.


Responsibilities

  • Designing and implementing an effective, reusable and maintainable test automation framework
  • Developing and maintaining API and UI automated tests
  • Improving and maintaining with a focus on test stability
  • Working in a team of QA engineers, producing structured/maintainable/reusable code
  • Requirements analysis and review
  • Collaborating with development teams (Developers, QAs, BAs, Product Managers and DevOps)
  • Creating and maintaining existing Test artifacts
  • Test artifacts peer review
  • Mentoring and guiding other QA's on how to write auto tests

Skills and Experiences (Must Have)

  • Experience of at least 5 years in QA automation
  • Experience implementing API and UI automated tests
  • Experience with Python (pytest framework)
  • Familiarity with QA methodologies
  • Understanding of REST principles
  • Good knowledge of test design techniques
  • Good knowledge of bug life cycle
  • Practical experience in version control systems (Git) and CI/CD
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Enthusiasm to achieve the highest level of quality of the product
  • Upper-Intermediate English, written and spoken
  • A self-starter attitude (curious, motivated and resourceful), with an eagerness to learn
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • Process-oriented mindset and enjoys problem-solving

It would be great if you have (Not essential)

  • Experience working within a fast-growing scaleup
  • Paytech experience, in highly transactional systems
  • Experience with MongoDB
  • Postman experience
  • Understanding of CI/CD principles
  • Experience working across multiple time zone scaleup
