Social Work Assistant x 2
Full-time- 37 hours per week
Fixed-term contract for nine months
£27,344 to £29,439 per annum (Grade G)
Breckland or Norwich
An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Social Work Assistants to join our Family Assessment and Safeguarding Teams (FAST) covering the Breckland and Norwich areas.
We are looking to recruit innovative and passionate Social Work Assistants that would be able to support social workers to ensure the best outcomes for children. You will be required to undertake casework, under appropriate professional supervision by the case-holding practitioner and Team Manager and in line with Children’s Services practice and procedures. This will include making appropriate interventions, assessing need, supporting care planning and child protection and child in need work to improve outcomes for children and their families.
You will need to be able to work as part of a team and have a good understanding of multi-agency work. You will have experience of working with parents and children in a similar statutory role. You will have an NVQ Level 3 in childcare or equivalent and experience of Vital Signs of Safety. A full driving licence and access to a car is essential for this role.
