As the Automation Engineer, you will:
- Working with focus factory manager and teams to understand and document current challenges and identify areas where automation, specifically related to robotics can be implemented to resolve challenges and increase productivity gains.
- Define system improvements to ensure maximum system uptime and performance.
- Designing solutions to ensure the quality and stability of automation systems through future expansions, replacements, or upgrades.
- Automation process improvement and maintenance.
- Ensuring that the system is in conformity with the standards and the associated technical documentation.
You will make impact if you have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or greater in Industrial Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing (Automotive industry preferred)
- CAD skills (Solid Works, Inventor, AutoCAD or similar).
- Good working knowledge of how hardware and software applications interact.
- Hands-on programming and trouble-shooting skills for Automation, Instrumentation and IT systems
- Software development languages – Python, C, C#, C++, JAVA, Ladder Logic, Visual Basic, any of the multitude of scripting languages
- Strong hands-on experience in the implementation of various automated testing solutions
- Software development languages – Python, C, C#, C++, JAVA, Ladder Logic, Visual Basic, any of the multitude of scripting languages
- Working with QA team members and leadership, develop a road map for test automation.
- Knowledge and understanding of web, mobile, API and database testing technologies.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Experienced in establishment of safe practices in a CGMP environment.
Other Requirements:
- Occasion travel
- On-line and classroom training
- Time spent on manufacturing floor learning and understanding manufacturing processes, challenges, etc.
- Experience in Controls Engineering, Data Analytics, System Administration, database relations (Experience with how data is related to each other).
- Four PLC languages – Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagram, Sequential Flowchart, Structured Control

The pay range for this position is $71,300 - 122,300. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
