About us

Last Mile Distribution Ltd is a a high performing logistics company operating in Scotland and specialising in last mile delivery solutions.

We are looking for a reliable and experienced self employed courier driver who will thrive in a fast paced environment, to join our growing team.

• Contract: DPD
• Location: Cambuslang
• Electric 3.5 Tonne Route: Parcels up to 25kg
• Route Location: G Postcodes
• Rate: £1 per successful drop
• Avg stops: 110-160 per shift
• Fully insured e-transit van given with fuel card at no extra cost to you for use during each shift and to take home at night
• Tue- Sat or Sun- Fri shift pattern available
• Regular overtime available
• Shifts: 8-10 hours per day
• Employment Status: Self Employed
• Uniform Provided
• Paid training on the job
• Phone usage allowance

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Arriving at the depo each morning 10-10.30am
• Scanning, loading and organising your route and parcels onto your van
• Co-ordinating with line manager for sign out and any issues through out the day
• Completing set route in a safe, orderly and timely matter
• Returning to depo for debrief and unloading any undelivered parcels
• Charging electric van in time for next shift

The ideal candidate will:

• Have a professional manner, great customer service and communication skills
• Have a valid driver's license
• A clean driving record: Have no more than 6 Points on your driving license and no DR, DG. CD or IN related endorsements
• Be able to pass a basic disclosure check
• Atleast 1 years experience in a similar role

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Up to £160.00 per day
