Are you an NHS-experienced Test Automation Engineer who has experience and knowledge of delivering a variety of testing on Electronic Patient Records?

Role Summary:

Our client is within the Healthcare Digital sector and they are currently seeking an Cerner Test Automation Engineer to join them on a 12+ month programme to support the implementation of Oracle Cerner's EPR, Cerner Millennium. Whilst the majority of the role will be delivered in the UK and via a remote-working virtual team, the implementation is for an overseas healthcare organisation in the EU, so very occasional travel to Europe may be required (and fully expensed). The role is likely to be almost 100% remote working for the first six months, but this could ramp up to 2-3 days per month later in the programme as we approach go-live. Therefore, any applicant would need to be happy and willing to consider very occasional work in Europe.

The role will be OUTSIDE of IR35 and rates will be in the region of £375-£425 per day, but may potentially be further flexible for a really strong candidate.

Job Description:

As a Test Automation Engineer on this Cerner Millennium EPR implementation, you would be joining the programme with approximately a year before go-live.

You will:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand software requirements and design comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for Cerner.
• Perform regression testing, system testing, and integration testing to validate software functionality and performance.
• Identify, document, and track software defects, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Participate in the continuous improvement of the automation testing process, tools, and methodologies.

You will need to cooperate closely with Developers and Solution Designers and provide feedback for suggested and implemented solutions by interpreting proposed enhancements and designing the validation criteria.

You will be part of a dynamic team, where clinical processes and their experts meet technology and solution development and their experts to provide the best possible support for our clients and their care for patients.

Given the nature of the programme's UK delivery to an overseas EPR implementation, candidates will need to be able to effectively work in a virtual team environment and be able to contribute and collaborate well in remote working settings.

Candidate Essential Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will have the below skills and experience to offer:

• Excellent knowledge of the automation testing of Oracle Cerner's EPR, Cerner Millennium, ideally across a range of modules.
• Proven experience as a Test Automation Engineer in a healthcare IT environment.
• Proficiency in test automation tools such as Selenium or similar.
• Solid programming skills in languages like Java and Python
• Additional technical knowledge in any of the following - Flink, DataFusion, Arrow, Ray, Iceberg, Snowflake
• Knowledge of Delta Sharing and Uniformity is desirable for this role
• The ability to liaise with wider project team members and healthcare stakeholders to provide feedback and input into future testing plans and test script creation and improvements.
• The ability to liaise effectively with management to highlight product issues and defects.
• Proven ability to work effectively and autonomously in a virtual team environment.
