Job description
We are recruiting for a Junior WordPress/PHP Developer to join a well-established Design and web business in York. Earning up to £30,000 alongside other benefits including hybrid working, you will work with designers to build and maintain a variety of websites, specialising in back-end development but passionate about creating attractive web front-ends.
As Junior WordPress/PHP Developer, you will work on a range of sites, from small static to large e-commerce, and your responsibilities will include:
- Writing clean, well-commented code
- Testing code ensuring it is ready for deployment
- Working on multiple projects developing new features
- Using a range of software including WordPress
- Managing your own time effectively to deliver projects to schedule
- Fix issues that arise either on live sites or in-house applications
To be successful in this Junior WordPress/PHP Developer position, you will:
- Have excellent coding skills including PHP, HTML5, and MySQL
- Be experienced in back-end development
- Have the capability to build front ends
- Have experience working in an agency environment, on a range of projects
- Be comfortable working within a team and autonomously
