Job description
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who has the relevant qualifications, skills, and experience to succeed in this role. The individual will become an integral part in the assembly, testing and carrying out repairs in the electrical systems of Railway Track Maintenance Equipment. Ensuring compliance with all Quality and Safety Standards. You will be supported by the team members in your department and will be encouraged to progress within your role.
39 hours per week
Mon-Thurs: 7:30am – 16:30 / Fri: 7:30am-12:30
KEY AREAS of RESPONSIBILITIES
· Reporting to the Production Supervisor and interfacing with the workshop and design engineers.
· Using circuit diagrams and manufacturers manuals to carry out new build and repair of electrical systems.
· Using electrical drawings to build enclosures and cable looms.
· Carry out regular inspection and maintenance of equipment.
· Order components required to successfully complete work scope.
· Communicate with production and management to explain nature of any issue in the build or maintenance of the equipment.
· Maintain and clean the electrical workshop area.
· Estimate time and cost to complete work scope.
· Review drawings and work orders upon receipt to workshop.
· Ensure all paperwork completed in a correct and timely manner.
· Attend internal meetings on enquiries and workshop loading.
· Answer shop floor drawing queries.
· Working within Lean manufacturing Workshop environment.
